## What the sheet prints

The FRAME catalog dates the sheet 1942 and names the U.S. Treasury Department's war-bond campaign. The sheet itself prints no year, so 1942 is the catalog's date, not a printed one. The fist is labeled as the Second War Loan: "2ND WAR LOAN" is printed on it. The record says a swastika is marked on each side of the face, and it calls that face a caricature of Hitler. The footer asks the viewer to lend money.

## Not a still from the short

The headline repeats a line also used as a film title. The short is a separate page, Der Fuehrer's Face (1942): Disney animated short. This poster is not a frame from that film, and the snapshot does not record a film still here. The topic page is anti-Nazi propaganda.

## Issuer and rights

Rights as recorded: public domain, U.S. government work, U.S. Treasury Department war-bond series, via Wikimedia Commons and the National Archives, retrieved by the archive on 2 October 2026. No NAID is printed on the tombstone.
