US presidential campaign print gallery, 1800–1900
This gallery lists the United States campaign rows dated 1800 to 1900 in the FRAME snapshot, oldest first: tickets, banners, broadsides, song sheets, pamphlets, badges, newspaper pages and cartoons. Each card prints the date the archive records, and the image stays on propagandaarchive.org.

The cards run in date order, from the Federalist and Republican newspapers of 1800 to the McKinley and Bryan posters of 1900. Every party of the period is here: Federalists, Republicans of Jefferson's day, Jacksonian Democrats, Whigs, Free Soilers, the American Party, the Republicans of Lincoln's day, Liberal Republicans, Greenbackers, Prohibitionists, the People's Party, and the gold Democrats of 1896 and 1900.

Where this site has written up the object, the card opens that page. Otherwise it opens the FRAME record. These are nineteenth-century prints, so none has a National Archives identifier, and the line under each title reads "no primary id in the snapshot." The Library of Congress call numbers are on the individual pages and records.

Some cards carry racist, nativist, anti-Catholic, antisemitic or anti-Chinese material from both major parties. They are listed because they were campaign print, and the archive shows them as they were published. The hub essay names those appeals and who made them. Newspaper and cartoon coverage of the Maine, the war with Spain, the Philippines and the Boer War that does not address the election is left out; it is covered in the yellow press case study and on the FRAME archive.
