Office of War Information posters

Office of War Information posters in this index are the 128 English-language posters in the FRAME snapshot whose maker line or title names that office. Each card prints the primary identifier the archive records, and the image stays on propagandaarchive.org.

This is an index of carry-over objects, not a new catalog. A sheet is included when the snapshot's maker line or title names the Office of War Information and the medium is a poster. Foreign-language plates and blank editions meant for overprinting are left on propagandaarchive.org. Cartoons are left there too.

Where this site has an essay, the card opens it. Otherwise the card opens the FRAME record. "No primary id in the snapshot" means the tombstone did not print a NARA number. Anti-Japanese sheets that the maker line assigns to this office appear here as OWI issues. Their discussion is anti-Japanese propaganda. Sheets about Nazi Germany are also listed under US anti-Nazi propaganda posters when they meet that gallery's rule. The parent page is the Office of War Information.
